Cavalaire sur mer is located on one of the most famous cycle routes in France: the V65 This 260km cycle route runs from Sanary-sur-mer to Nice along the coast.
Much of the V65 route follows the route of the old Train des Pignes railway line. As a result, the route is relatively flat, making it accessible to the widest possible audience.
The town’s facilities for cyclists and its real commitment to welcoming bikes have earned it the Accueil Vélo! label.
Cavalaire has a real desire to develop cycling, which is why it has installed a large number of cycle racks in strategic locations around the town. A self-service repair kit has also been installed so that everyone can make the first basic adjustments to their 2-wheeler.
It’s best to cycle out of season or at cooler times of day. Physical exertion during peak summer heat is not recommended.
