A flagship project for Cavalaire !
In 2015, Cavalaire Town Council acquired the site of the former household waste treatment plant, which ceased operating in 1999 before being cleaned up. With a view to developing green tourism, the Mayor of Cavalaire, Philippe Leonelli, wanted to make this site a must-see destination dedicated to nature, a benchmark for all lovers of the Corniche des Maures. The building is part of the BDM (Mediterranean Sustainable Building) approach, and has twice been awarded the “gold” label, a guarantee of high environmental quality. The opening to the public on 23 June 2024 offers a new destiny for this site.
